Bell TV HD coming to Marriott Hotels

Bell is bringing high-definition viewing to guests at Marriott Hotels in Canada.
The telecommunications company has installed its HD solution in six Marriott hotel locations in Canada and it will soon offer it in two additional hotels, bringing HD via Bell TV to more than 2000 rooms. These Marriott properties have access to more than 100 HD channels from Bell TV, the most offered by any television provider in Canada. Deal terms were not disclosed.
Bell's solution delivers in-room satellite-powered HD television from a centralized control room, doing away with the need for individual receivers in each room. The result is both an improved guest experience and simplified hotel operations, providing video-on-demand compatibility, more attractive room aesthetics and eliminating the risk of theft of in-room HD receivers.
"Bell is proud to offer hotels a unique solution that solves the challenges they face in delivering HD television directly to their guests across Canada," said Kevin Crull, president of Bell Residential Services, in a statement. "With Bell TV, hotel guests get access to Canada's best HD television service, featuring the most HD channels and stunning picture quality, making their stay even more enjoyable."

i have a friend that works for bev and he told me they are also doing away with dishes and will be running bell tv through the phome line. he has already been making the swtich to some on the toronto area.

Well if they do away with the dishes i think a lot of people will be pissed off, because i like to take my sub with me then i go camping or cottage were we do not have a phone line or hydro line in some cases. I take my generator, 20 inch tv and dish and bell reciever so i can watch my Nascar,weather, news, out in the boonies
